Applied Kinetics designs a new wall mounted robot pedestal for ABB Robotics in days thanks to dedicated, capable engineers and powerful tools
Applied Kinetics was approached by ABB Robotics to design and analyze a robot platform in a hurry. The design was developed with the aid of solid modeling tools, and then analysed using FEA. The structure was designed to withstand operational and E-stop loading situations and to meet natural frequency requirements.
As is often the case, stiffness of the structure was critical to the application. Sufficient stiffness ensures repeatable robot positioning and maximum robot performance.
